Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) on-prem is hybrid cloud software that provides GKE to on-premises data centres. You can construct, manage, and update Kubernetes clusters in your on-premises environment using GKE on-prem. You can see and sign in to your on-premises and on-cloud Kubernetes clusters from the same Google Cloud Console interface using Connect. GKE on-premises operates on a vSphere 6.5 or 6.7 Update 3 environment in your data centre. VMware’s server virtualization software is called vSphere. GKE on-premises manages your clusters using VMware’s vCenter Server.
